Benefits of Journaling

Journaling is more than just putting words on a page. It is a powerful tool that can have a huge impact on your mood and mental health.

Among the many benefits, journaling has been found to:

  • Clear and calm your mind

  • Help release negative thoughts

  • Build self-worth

  • Provide clarity

  • Enhance your self-awareness and teaching you about your triggers;

  • Track your mood, experiences, and progress as you undergo treatment or work toward a more improved quality of life.

  • Boost your mood

  • Help improve your working memory

Journaling Instructions:

Effective Journaling can transform your relationship with your mind and your mental health care routine.

If this is your first time journaling, before you start the 28-Day Self-Love Challenge, take 30-seconds to read the below instructions.

  1. Write in a private and personalized space that is free from distractions

  2. Write consecutively - try your best not to skip a day.

  3. Do not worry about spelling, grammar or sentence structure. Structure the writing however it feels right to you.

  4. Give yourself some time to reflect and balance yourself after writing.

  5. Do not feel obligated to write about a specific traumatic event—journal about what feels right in the moment.

  6. Unless you want to share, keep your journal private. Your journal submissions are for your eyes only—not your spouse, not your family, not your friends, not even your therapist (although you can discuss your experience with your therapist, of course).

Happy Journaling!
